I'm about to order some 285/85-16's for my fender and some 16x8 rims to suit... but no idea on what offsett i will need.

Any suggestions, ideas, preferably definite answers on what offsett to run that will give maximum turning circle and still allow them to slip up inside the guards? Currently have a 2" lift on her.

    Cheers in advance
    Do you mean 285/85 or 255/85 ???

I have 255/85 on disco rims with +20mm offset and 285/75 on disco rims with +30mm offset (both 33" diameter). The latter hit the rear (metal) wheel arches on articulation.

had been suggested +25 offset but that's from rangy lover Grimace so assuming a bit more to play with on a fender

Why go to 35's when you could put 44's on

I'd be surprised if that has a decent turning circle without the guards cut, but an impressive machine. Its nice to see big tyres without a heap of lift. I like it.

can't say i would fancy putting a ground anchor down out there ........stab it in one minute start winching and find yourself flaoting away on an ice cap
