Over boost or MAF or both!

    Boost box

If go over say 70% TPS goes to limp mode

Disconnect boost box (undo its earth connection) at lower TPS it does the surging fuel cut off trick and for good measure goes into limp mode.

    So is
    1/ boost box faulty, or
2/ MAF seeing to much air, or
    3/ or both

    how to prove/disprove?

Wind back threaded rod on waste gate and see if goes to limp with boost connected?
But how to test /2 or /3?

Yep, would plug in my nanocom but cable gone missing.

    Thanks,
    Brett.

I don't know much about boost boxes but if you disconnect the MAF so it runs the default feeling it can't then max out on airflow reading.

Probably better you find the nano com cable and then you'll know for sure what it is.

    Good luck.

Been looking for the damn cable for months!

Ran it with MAF disconnected but it still did the surging so assume that's fuel cutting off.

Actually rang JC Friday to see if he can diagnose and if so I'll take in to him to check. Too much else going on to spend time on the car at the moment.

Probably just order boost box from BAS. Was just trying to make sure it's not MAF seeing too much air as well so need another box on top of boost box to trick it too.
