Defender Water Leaks
Is it from the W/screen :?: or is it from the top front corner of the door :?: caused by a badly fitting seal or a misaligned door

did defenders come out with seals??
might also be from where the windscreen hinges used to be, they now have a bracket instead of a hinge.

G'day mate ... In my opinion this is a design defect and should be sorted out under warranty ... whether it be to replace the seals, the door or the car!!
I had the same problem on my 5 month old extreme. Took it back to the dealer and they fixed it in a day! My suspicion is .. some of the service departments haven't had to deal with such a problem (so they don't have a clue!) or .. because it's not a high profile job .. they appoint an appy to look at it .. or it's the last thing on the job card at 4:30 in the arvo :?
Since you are close to Sydney I suggest you take it to the Service Department in Brookvale on the Northern Beaches. They sorted mine out. Details:
8a Ethel St Brookvale NSW 2100
ph: (02) 9939 4072
Good luck,
Henry.

Mine leaks from the same spot. So I think its a problem they have had for the last 20 years.
I used heaps of silicone, but that might look out of place on a new one.

Yep, my defender used to leak water on my foot, and my series 3, and my series 2a. I found a final way to stop the leak ---- traded mine for a disco. Problem solved (for now!)
