Hi guys there was some discussion earlier about ball joint rubber boots.

I changed 4 of them this morning in about 1.5 hours. using a standard ball joint breaker and a small hammer. The rubber boots a bought mail order from 4 wheel drives in Melbourne , $3.5 each plus about $1 for the new spring rings to secure them. Including frieght say $25. I cleaned the old grease out and put in new Molybdenum grease from Penrite. All the boots were still intact but badly cracked. I did them about 10 years ago. All the ball joints felt nice and tight still. Better than changing 4 x tie rod ends etc, at $40 each and then have to do a wheel alignment. ( plus say $200 labor in a workshop) Sorry no photos technical difficulty with the camera.
