    diy aircon hoses.

Does anyone out there no a company that supplies parts for diy air con hoses?
I recall seeing a company on a show on ch31 that makes all soughts of automotive lines and pipes to what ever shape and size you liked, they had a sister company that did diy air con bits, I just can't recall the company.

Like this? I don't know anything about it, just found it during a search.

I called the Speedy Air Spares guy yesterday and asked about the DIY crimping stuff and his view was it's a great product.

If anyone already has, or buys the crimping tool, let me know. I might need a few hoses made up soon...

Give me a break Justin, haven't even made the compressor fit yet.
That will be a few weeks off yet, need to get the car finished off over the next week or so so I can book the engineer.
    Air con after that

I used a bit of garden hose to work out the runs. When I bought the hose i got them to crimp one fitting left the other loose.Bolted it all up marked the alignment with an ink pen took them back and got them crimped .Worked well

Good idea noel. Now I just need to work out how I will run the pipes, either up over the front of the engine, or under the front of the engine

be careful doing your own aircon.....

before you start be sure to find somewhere that will certify the system before filling it and find someone that will fill a system they havent worked on just tested out...

right now you shouldnt have too many problems, but in the near future...............

Id run the piping and hoses with the liquid line along the inlet side of the engine bay and the suction side on the exhaust side if possible. run the hoses and pipes such that they dont have many flex points, have at least 1 bend on each axis and the pipes enable the compressor to be unbolted and moved out of the way of the engine for major works without degas...

also consider fitting QD type fittings to the compressor lines.
