Thread: Turbo's on TD5"s

:?: Reciently I have been told the Turbo's on the TD5's are starting to fail. Is their any truth as mine seems to be performing fine other than having the small hose collapse.

Mate of mine bought a 2000 model Defender. Turbo failed at less than 2000k's. Sucked all the bits of the turbo into the motor. They gave him a new motor and since has been fine. I guess someone just had a bad day at the factory when they were puttin that one together. He give's his vehicle a pretty hard time, and it's been faultless since the new motor.
