    Im glad you think no need to worry I was quite worried there for awhile thats for sure.
    Finally all back together and eventually got it started (this was when I was most worried took about 20 or so attempts)
    Quite a relief now knowing I didn't hydrolock my engine, now I wonder if I have solved my overheating issue or not yet.

    Are these the Auto oil lines you are talking about - I would check the auto oil level before driving.

    Im pretty sure they are engine oil lines they are the two on the side of the radiator the oil was looking quite black when it came out.
    I do have another cooler in front of radiator which seems to be for the transmission though.

    Correct, engine oil cooler is in RH side of rad, auto cooler is a separate unit.
