Driving home and the vehicle lost power and the engine cut out - now I can not get it to start.
Appeared to have run out of fuel - but according to the Km's on the clock and fuel gauge should have had plenty of fuel. Just to be sure put 20ltrs of diesel in it. Went through priming procedure two or three times- cranks over but will not fire.
Now some history:
Disco TD5 Auto with 340,000ks on the clock.
Less than a month ago a reputable Land rover mechanic had the head off which all of the injector seals were done, new fuel regulator, new injector harness, exhaust manifold and new XYZ switch.
I also changed the crank angle sender today for a brand new LR one.
Fuel filter has been changed and fuel pump is working (checked at the filter).
Cleaned up the ECU red plug for any oil in the harness.
Battery has been put on the charger and is fully charged.
Only error code in the Nanacom has been a road speed error - which I expect due to it cutting out while driving.
I have not checked fuel flow at the return line at the tank yet.
Only other thing I can think of is ECU?
I am at a bit of a loss at the moment, and open for suggestions.

Has the fuel cut off switch bee tripped?
It's a small relay type thingy mounted on the firewall in the engine bay ahead of the passenger, it has a couple of wires coming out of it.
Rubber cover over it hides the switch, you can press it and feel it move, press it hard and it will trip.
Could it be that simple, we all live in a land of hope.

Tried that aswell. Be pretty strange that it would all of a sudden trip while driving. I still have fuel issues in the back of my mind - either supply or injectors.
Would anything show up on the nancom while cranking to diagnose injector problem?
Is their anyway that the injector harness could get damaged? The reason I ask as it ahs been changed and if it was not fastened down properly get caught on something and get damaged
Done the fuel bleed procedure, NOT the one in the owners handbook?
Pump accelerator pedal 5-10 times quickly until engine light starts flashing?
I ran out of fuel and did the book procedure about 10 times, didn't work. Just cranked.
Did the above mentioned procedure, waiting about a minute and it fired up in about 5 seconds.
Check you have not blown a fuse. I had an accessory device blow a fuse which took out the engine. Can't recall which one it was, but the symptoms were the same.
what about engine immobilisers i've been having a few problems with mine for no reason won't start and i have to lock and unlock and away it goes.
Yeah backtabush, never had a problem, the other day I started my TD5 and then it stopped, wouldn't start, never done that before.
I have in the past had odd problems with the alarm going off for no reason, unlocking the car manually and later having it not start but I'm pretty sure it would not wind over then, I had left it too long between manual unlock and trying to start or something and the computer said "Up yours".
Simply locking (with the button) and unlocking fixed the problem, so once bitten twice shy, so this time I locked the car and unlocked it with the key button and walla it started.
Don't know what upset it this time but the lock/unlock worked.
