The best evidence that I am not interested in patronising anyone is the fact that I have not corrected the punctuation errors in post #7. There are at least nine. :)
If I were thin skinned and easily offended, I could complain about comments about seeking self gratification that could be seen as a personal attack. I prefer to think that the primary intention of the criticism is to draw attention to what you see as a problem and I prefer to focus on that rather than on the aspect of the post that speculates about my motives.
I am prepared to accept that some people see things differently from the way I do, so I have tried to confine my responses to an explanation of the way I see things.
