Opposite Lock South Sydney has recommended elockers on both diffs. The more I research the more confusing....any techheads out there that can advise pls?

Robglewis, many threads and opinions to be found.
depends on your application, and plans.
As a general rule you don't want a locker in the front, for steering reasons.
Personally I will probably go LSD both ends, but I plan to tour, not rock climb or bog bash.
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Clancy's gone to Queensland Rovering, and we don't know where he are
A manual locker in the front would be fine - can turn it off for steering reasons.
OppLock South Sydney would probably be pretty cluey when it comes to LandRovers, but yes, upgraded axles would be a good move.
My personal preference is for full manual lockers (ashcroft, arb, maxi, e-locker)
As already stated, e lockers dont require compressors and air lines, but theres plenty of air lockers out there working away too. In the end it will come down to price, availability, and personal requirements.
Hi. Can't find the elocker to fit the rover axle? Which model is it? Regards. Ian Ashcroft

P.s. Ian, I'm very happy with your products!
Hi Ian, it's a 2009 Hard Top

No he did not.

I would be hard pressed taking anyones advice that advised lockers for a LR but nothing about upgrading the axles.
Not knocking the locker itself. Imo stick with a known that works ie ashcroft air locker or arb and get hi-tough axles ashcroft cvs if you lock the front.
