Gremlins????
Hi all, this is a bit of an odd one. I installed an engine guard a few weeks ago to monitor engine temp. All has been well, no drama's with it. Yesterday I jump in the car, start her up and notice that the display is off - no power going to it seemingly, but power to everything else. Ok, probably blown the 1A fuse methinks, will have a look after work. However, when I leave work - hey presto, the display is working fine. Checked the fuse holder, fuse is secure, all wires seem ok.
Anyone have any ideas as to what the cause could be. Battery is all good, no other electrical problems (that I am aware of), just wondering if this is a sign that all is not well and the start of an electrical fault or problem ?
Car is a 300tdi, tapped into the power supply for the radio to power the engine guard
Cheers
Brett

My tip is to double check the earth side of the display unit.

Alien, will do. Had a look yesterday and all seemed OK, but it is a mess of wires behind the dash so will have a proper look
