Take them to your local fuel injector shop. Should cost $20 - $25 per injector.
Cleaning and checking V8 Thor injectors - is this is something you can do yourself and best sent to the local Bosch specialist to do - if so what sort of cost are we looking at.

But only $12 to test to see if they need cleaning.

How do you take them out?
Is it something you do your self or take to the workshop ?(not that there is one here!!)

The injector shops clean them by submersing in solvent and cycling with an electronic cycler while using an ultrasonic signal. So it is not a DIY.
The Thor injectors are short and also run at a higher pressure than earlier injectors so you cannot do the usual with RRCs and D1 and buy a used clean set from the USA.
Maybe you can if you can identify a similar car which uses the same injector as later cars will have a one way system like the Thor Bosch.
FiveOmotorsport in the USA is a good source but they do not do an OEM injector for the Thor. Maybe you can ask if they have a similar spec injector.

I have found this to usually be cheaper than trying to clean OEM injectors as you can lose injectors during cleaning, and then be forced to buy a new one identical to the others at Land Rover rip off prices.

If anyone needs any spare Thor injectors I've still got the ones that came off the D2 4.0 I wrecked. No warranty but definitely cheap.
BTW Garry, why don't you convert to the earlier type injectors and fuel rail? Then you have recirculating fuel while you're on gas, keeps the injectors cooler and happier all round. Probably easier to set up a aftermarket ECU for too.

You can use a 3.9 rail and injectors with a Thor as long as you don't need the bracket for the coils, and the 3.9 rail must be pre about 93 with the fuel temp sensor at the RH front corner, not half way along the LH rail.
Is in the back of my mind - I have a dead 3.9 with fuel rail and injectors
but I also have two sets of Thor manifolds etc so there is no real reason not to
use the Thor stuff. Megaquirt kit sellers have all the stuff to make it
work.
IMHO this is the most practical way of fitting a megasquirt as you can use an easily available and cheap pump (VR Commodore) and the injectors are cheap( Bosch Yellow top Gen 11 or 111)
