Time and effort, P38 requires the whole drivetrain to be custom built

Engine is completely out and stripped. Block should have gone to the machinist today, maybe head off to head guy also.

I dropped off the below parts for the rebuild this morning and confirmed with the mechanic parts needed to be ordered from the UK.

    remember to breathe....

So after I insisted(to the point where I said that I would pay for it, which is the first discussion of moneys) that the head go for a full check and deck, not just a hardness test, I was told by Gilberts that it definitely needed it due to some "grooves" or such from the failing HG. 6 thou was removed, might not seem much but is probably the difference between the HG sealing or not. Hardness tests show all points on or about 102

but in good news, the parts from the UK have only increased in price by 50% from 11 months ago (not our exchange rate or shipping differences, the quoted price in pounds sterling)

    50%? That's a little steep!

Good job insisting it needed it Serg.
