The fact that this situation is so devastating to the vehicle (as shown in the Youtube clip) and not only is a very real possibility to those using the turbo diesels in the Disco platform - Now I don't know if this is the case for a stock setup or not ... But most certainly seems like it may be some very worthwhile information to those who have blanked the EGR for sure.
So It was in the interests of the community that this post was loaded.
I personally feel that the technical section is not the right place for this post as its of more use to the common and garden landrover diesel user than to the techies who already know the pitfalls of EGR blanking ..
I bet there would be heaps of EGR's being 'recommissioned' if the wider community knew this could be the result if something goes wrong.
we are talking about a $20K 'issue' here. and that's of community interest.
