AirFlow Snorkle installation

Hi all,
Well i installed my New Snorkle on Saturday and it was a peice of cake.
I bought it from Duncans 4WD in Melbourne. Cost was only $300.

Brand is Airflow and it works just fine.

Installation took about 1 hour and involved some drilling and lots of Fileing..... LOTS

In my Gallery are the Pics.
"Volvo164 AKA Clarkie"
"Modifications"
"Snorkle"

My only complaint is the hose is that damn tight it was a ***** to get on.
I did not use silicon as it is that tight there is NO WAY water will get it. Trust me on that one. I've never had a drama like getting that hose on.

So for that Price we can all afford one.

Regards
Steve

Excellent Steve,
looks spot on.
Looking at the template, how hard is it to line up. Does the edge near the door just end at the edge of guard. in otherworks easy to line it up before the big drill?

Template was easy to align. It was a bit scary when i 1st had to Drill the 1st hole.
Big one i just drilled a series of holes and then used tin snips to cut between them.
Then i filled and filled and Filled and Filled......

It looks good.

Takes a determined Landy owner to hack into their own vehicle. I think using drills with a file finishing is the better method, seems more of a surgical procedure, compared to the hole saw butchery some people use.

Might sugguest a bit of fine stainless gauze in that ram head to stop as many bugs being sucked into the main filter.

Hey this is where that Dremel tool I always wanted would come in handy. excuse to buy one.
