Try the Jap wreckers for one of the turbo performance jobs.
You will need to change mounts ect.
the street racers use truck ones and cut them to suit.
apparently bigger is better and car ones dont seem to be big enough.
this is the latest trend with wrx, nissan, mazda, etc.
i guess if one of those will suit your purpose the trading post or ebay should be full of them out of these hotted up cars.
all depends how big you want to go.
That makes a lot of sense. Thats why this site is so good, always someone has a better idea.Originally posted by DEFENDERZOOK

Hi
I would talk to a jap enjine importer.Quite an easy upgrade would be an engine top intercooler off one of the jap 4cyl diesels and a bonnet scoop. If you route your charged thru the engine top intercooler then into the standard one you would have the equivelent cooling area of quite a large intercooler.
The engine top intercooler on our mitsi trytoo also has a suck thru thermo fan fitted with a temp switch in the intercooler for when you arne getting enough cool air thru the intercooler.

G'day Noz, just over on ebay looking for bits for another project and there's a lot of intercoolers in the performance bits section.
Thanks Paul & old dog , I am going to start with get my intercooler cleaned at ARE intercoolers and see how that goes before I invest more cash on a new one.
Thanks again
