Hi Redback, if you get a chance some time, after you have been for a drive of half an hour or more. Can you measure the voltage at the battery before you turn the motor off. Just interested to see if it is 14 volts or 14.5+ volts.
If it is the higher voltage, you will have to be careful as to what type of battery you get.

Here is a short write-up on how I installed a 2nd Battery in my Disco. In order to beat the heat I put the battery on of the boxes in the rear of the car.

Straight from the August 2004 onwards ARB price book.

ARB Dual Battery System- Discovery mid 1999 onwards.

$527 system alone
$140 fitting
$667 total including fitting.

No, Sorry. I was hacked into a couple of weeks back but we thought that was all sorted out. Now it is undergoing a security upgrade. I will keep you informed.
