Thread: Dismantling key

Hello there,
Has anyone pulled apart their D2 ignition key. I have a new blank I bought off the internet and apparently all I need do is open up my old one,take out the guts and put it in the new one. Buy I can't for the life of me open it up. I can pull the key part out no probs, I just can't open it up. Can anyone help, cheers.

turn key backside up then insert small screwdriver into the end where the keyring fits and lever it up. Will seperate into 2 halves.
