Hi, its been a few months now, how is the turbo and motor going?
Do you have an uprated intercooler?
Thanks Alan
So now that it's a few weeks down the track I can categorically say the only problem with this installation was the dead viscous fan.
Have done some serious towing, off road, varied driving and it hasn't gotten hot or missed a beat.
Settled with boost at 20psi for the sakes of sympathy on a high mileage engine but from around town to off road, freeway speeds, towing, hills and everything in between the difference from the stock turbo is amazing.

I'm 30,000 km in, nudging 360,000 and not a single problem to report.
Still on the original intercooler which is acceptable in Melbourne this time of year but hoping to upgrade it before the hot weather returns. The timing belt is due shortly, when I have the time off I plan on pulling the injector pump and injectors at the same time and having them bench checked and professionally tuned.
So as an owner would you say it is worth it?. Pat
Interesting thread this, my beastie has aweful problems with heat (when towing) and we can't seem to narrow down why... was also looking at the VNT for more torque lower down (rather than power) so am very interested in how she tows.
Sorry to all those awaiting a bit of a more in depth response. I will get around to it, have been crazy busy but fortunately things are settling down a bit.
Maybe it wasnt a happy ending?
