CD Player in S1 Disco

Hi guys for my birthday SWMBO has offered to buy me a CD player for the Disco. What worries me is that in my vehicle - 93 model the Radio is on an angle down into the console at the bottom of the dash. Now not being too flash on electrickety stuff has anyone had any problems retro fitting with a Cd player?

What im thinking is that due to the angle the cd might skip....

thanks

Mick

CD stackers can be mounted in vertical or horizontal positions. In vertical position the cds don't skip, so a biult in unit on a slight angle shouldn't worry it.
When a CD is inserted a lifting device lifts the cd and it's top clamps onto a device to hold it during rotation.

Ive had mine like that since 2002 mick
hasent skipped once.
the only problem is that the pioneer unit that
i have is longer/ deeper than the hole will allow!
so it sits 1'' out from the face. you wack it with your knuckles
when putting into 4x4.

ive got my disco in bits at the moment if you want to have a look
at where it goes ect.
im at revesby, dont start work till wednesday.

cheers phil.

The CD Player should have the working angles specified in the user manual, like a diagram or somethin.

I think the angle it would be at in your Disco shouldnt be too steep for most CD players.

As for jumping, if its a good quality unit, it probably wont be an issue unless your in the rough stuff.
