    1996 Defender 130 Suspension

Hi, I need to replace my shocks and springs on my Defender 130. They appear to be the original shocks and springs. As a backyard mechanic is it a huge job? Would I need any specialised tools? Anyone got any suggestions as to what is the best gear to put in my Defender? Bilstein, Terrafirma etc? Cheers jamie

    Hi,
    Have you ever considered airbagman.com.au?

Fairly easy job, but you will need a decent trolley jack to lift high enough to get the springs out. The rears are easy as the springs and shocks are separate, the front have the shock inside the spring so a little harder.
I would go Bilstein or Koni shocks though I am sure others will recommend others. King springs are also good and easy to get.
When I did mine I went Bilstein Shocks, King Springs and Poly Airs.
