    floppy knob

So I have a floppy gear knob on my transfer case, I can't select low range very well (take the knob off and its fine), what have people done to fix this?

I have a heap of thread tape on mine in the rangie and it is now fine. It used to rattle and drive me nuts.

I have also heard of people drilling a small hole in the knob and fitting a grub screw.

Thanks, tape was going to be my first option.

Turns out it won't select low range anyway. Had my bil in the car whilst it was on the hoist as we were adjusting it, must have got it wrong😕
