Door Pillar Bottom Bracket replace Series 3

    Hi All

Can you please help me in the process of removing the pillar bottom bracket of my Series 3.

I am not sure if it slips out or is welded in place?

    Photos would be good

    Thanks

    Craig

Probably help to know which pillar we are talking about. Also exactly what you mean by the bracket.

The 'A' pillar is part of the bulkhead, as is the bracket that attaches this to the chassis. The bracket attaching the sill to the bulkhead is part of the sill.

In the two door, the 'B' pillar bottom bracket is separate from the sill, but in the four door, the 'B' pillar, the bottom half of the 'C' pillar and the sill are one piece.

Hope this helps. Can I suggest getting a parts book - has very good pictures to help with this sort of things, and getting a CD with it from "Shop" above helps AULRO.

That is a replacement for part of the bulkhead - and is (spot?)welded into the bulkhead.

    Thanks John

Time to drill out the welds when I get to it :-)
