I have looked briefly at MS and if this was a stock set up then I would probably go that path, however previous owner has spent good money setting this 4.6 up with the 14cux system so.......
Hopefully I can get into this transplant before Christmas this year. :D
Don't seem to have anywhere near as much time to play with cars these days as I used to. The County has been off the road for more than 12 months now and the kids don't like the TD5. :(
What they dont like being strapped to the tray :D.

Major win this afternoon (for me anyway) with this project. :cool:
Turns out wiring loom for the EFI is separate to the main loom. Spent most of the afternoon removing dash etc to get a clear look at it all and turns out it wasn't necessary. :D
Have the EFI loom sitting on top of the motor.
Not sure if there was a cut off date for the integrated loom but this is a March 95 Disco.
Now on with the rest of it.

Well I have just finished removing a 3.9 from a '94 RRC and replacing it with a '95 D1 300TDi engine and have a better idea of how the later looms work. There's still a load of extra connections on the engine loom but the body side seems to be plug-n-play for the two engine types. All you need to do now is work out how few wires you actually need to connect to make it run...:)Quote:

The 2 plugs on the EFI loom. 1 is a brown 7 pin type plug, the other is white 20 pin type. I can see that the main 3 or 4 wires/connections I will need to make it run are on the brown 7 pin connector, according to the EFI wiring diagram I have and the information already given.

Wish you started this a few months ago Mick, I just cut all these plugs out of my loom from my 94 lse, I only ended up using the starter, alt, oil, temp, a/c wires.
I do have a 93 rangie here, but would like to keep it running so I can move it around.

You're going to have to work it out yourself. From a quick look at the white plug there's a tach wire, an alt light wire and a couple of other familiar colours. If you run those things off your old engine harness you won't need them in the new. The brown plug has a fused battery supply (brown/green) and the starter motor too. Also note your new engine harness has no fuses, you'll have to work out where to put them.Quote:

Ok so I have a 1993 loom and 1989 tank and pump coming my way. Hopefully this gets me a little closer to the finish line. :D
