Thread: LT77 gear extension adjustment procedure

G'day

Just finishing off some work on a 200 Tdi Defender. I've done up the box, engine and t'case.

Engine runs well and we can select all gears without the gearstick turret on. Only trouble is when the turret goes on things go downhill. We can select reverse without the detent doing anything and struggle to select other gears properly

Can anyone send me the landrover procedure for adjusting the detents and springs?

All good, figured it out last night. Took a couple of shims out of the detent and tightened up the adjuster. Then fiddle with the two springs so the lever selects 3/4 at rest
