Spottie mounts on ARB bar on a Rangie.

Gday guys,

I need a little help in regards to where the hell I can mount the spotties on a new ARB bar I got for the Rangie.
The bar has 2 tabs either side of the winch mount area, but if I put the lights there they will block pretty much all of the airflow to the rad besides which I'm stuffed if I can get a spanner in next to the winch motor to do the bloody right hand side nut up!
There are a couple of other mounts on top of the bar at equal spacing apart but I would assume these are for aerial mounts, or are they?
I don't mind putting the lights up on top of the bar, even if they do look a bit like Mickey Mouse's ears but will the boys in blue pull me up on it?

Any suggestions? Has anyone mounted their lights on top of the bar before? Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers

Yep, those tabs either side of the winch are the light mounts. You are restricted in what will fit. See my old '86 with an ARB bar and Cibie Oscars:

The tabs on the top of the bar are for aerials.

In NSW, it is now illegal to fit driving lights to the top of the bar.

Gooowon !! Stick 'em up there !! You know you want to !!

I'm a bit of a Western NSW lad so to keep me in touch with my rural heritage the bull lights on my series sit on the top of the bullbar. Mostly so the radiator is supplied with air but they add that touch of 'hardcore brute' to her as well. 8)

Though it is a fad at the moment, I see the same guys around every week and there seems to be this 'I've got that too' comp. going on at the moment. Started with my precleaner/'norkel. Stay tuned, I put scrub bars on mine on last week... you wait.

spottie mounts

Dont know if it helps, but ARB actually make an accessory spotlight clamp for their bars, so you can put them anywhere.Checking it out today, will let you know.
