I think this is the go, its going to Davis for a flush, cooler upgrade and governer clean. When i spoke to him he mentioned the governor before I did, he knows his stuff.

The D2 now at 165Kk after buying and changing at 135KK with Transmax Z. ( 2 changes in 1KK to increase Transmax to +- 80%)
Virtually NO crap in sump after 30KK of towing 1tonne for almost all of that 30Kk including up to Cabramurra and working perfectly.

I am a great believer in clean top quality ZF recommended ATF, and I wonder how many mechanics just use Dex 2 or 3 cheapest they can get.

BTW, Transmax Z apparently is of lower viscosity than most ATF so maybe that has something to do with it.

That's what the guy recommended to me but in the Goldfields/Pilbara heat I just changed it. Pat

Another problem can be the cooler, the L322 has a liquid to liquid cooler so if you don't flush the cooling system not only does the engine run hot but the tranny too. Pat

I dont run a rad cooler, even tho the rad has provision for for both engine oil and auto, good for cold temp areas but not most of oz.
I dont want to add extra heat to the engine.
