I previously had a 1986 Isuzu county. These had paper (cartridge) oil/fuel filters up to about 88/89. The Isuzu 120's certainly had spin on filters.

If you particularly want spin on filters try a truck wrecker in Brisbane such as Wanlass who has an early Isuzu NPR truck, or Zenith Engineering in Milton (isuzu specialists).

regards

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>I had shown him the knob on the dash that you have to pull to shut off the engine, and the little smart arse put two and two together. I’ll buy that kid a beer one day icon_biggrin.gif
So either the original solenoid has died (its still there wrapped up) or a PO wanted to be able to shut off the engine independent of the ignition switch, so ran a new (dodgy) cable to the lever. Any ideas on this one?
My Stage1 Isuzu has the pull cable for a shut off.
It's was factory fitted and the owners manual (yes I have the original manual) includes it in the shut off instructions.

One positive is the vehicle can run without an electrical system.
As long as you can start it electrics are optional, particularly good for a Landy

Thanks 4bd1. The manual for the county shows the cable is for hand throttle so it looks like a PO is using it for shutoff. The solenoid operated cable still works, so I might just re connect it and put a switch in line so I can disable the solenoid shutoff it if I want too. ie to take the keys out but leave the engine running.

If I lable the switch "work light" it can be an anti-theft device as well

How are they going to find the switch in the dark  - it takes me 30 secs of fumbling to find it

Must put "door operated interior light" on the list of mods ( so the thieves can find the work light switch ) .
