    EGR blanking gasket

After the loctite gasket failed last week, I decide to buy a proper gasket (ERR3319, like this one ERR3319 | Gasket Egr System).

Do I need to use any goop with this, and if so, what would you recommend?

I used nothing, the gasket crushes slightly and seals really well

    Blknight probably means No3...

I would have thought that no. 1372 is more apporopriate because of its higher temp suitability range:
Permatex 1372 High Temperature Form-A-Gasket Sealant

But as Duarte19 notes, it's probably not necessary; the factory-fit blanking plate on our TDI wasn't fit with sealant.

I forgot to pickup some Permatex today, however I do have some Loctite 3JB non-hardening sealant. Will that work?

I'd use just the gasket, but there's some decent pitting around the face on the manifold side, so reckon some goop will help.
