Hi LRH, how difficult was it to get the body off? What needs to be undone etc to get it off. I was thinking about a 2in body lift and a 2in suspension lift for the disco eventually. How long did it all take, and are you planning to lift the rangie body before you bolt it back on? matt

From driving into the workshop to rolling the chassis out took about 3 hours - less time we had for a nice cooked breakfast!!!
There was 2 of us undoing everything and I had spent the weekend before making note of what needed to be disconnected and where - so we had a plan, always helps.
Only snags we had were when we were lifting the body by the sills the hoist caught the chassis and was lifting the chassis too, and the other was I didn't disconnect the gearbox breather line.
I have a full list of the plan - if anyone wants them just email me.
If you want to do a 2" body lift then you don't need to completely lift the body - just do a corner at a time, so I have been told.
I am installing a 1" body lift, as there is enough adjustment in the standard mountings / break lines for a 1" lift but not a 2".

If i lifted the body 2in, am i going to need to extend anything to account for the extra distance, things like steering column etc? Matt
been told the sterring column isn't a major worry - there enough spline area in it to work.
the main areas are seat belt extensions / brake line extensions / front & rear bar may need lifting / radiator lift etc etc.
I was going to buy a LRA kit they are just developing, but cannot afford at the moment, this kit is VERY comprehensive and fixes all known problems with a 2.5" lift kit.
have a look at the quick preview of a pre production kit, see how comprehensive it is?

The RR / Disco one are the same thing - same chassis.
They don't have a final price yet, as they have only just gone into production. This is a pre-production mock up.
