    Rangie Radiator bracket failure

    Anyone experienced this before .
It looks like the brackets are just glued onto the side tanks .

Looks like failed solder to me.
However the side mounts are not supposed to take any strain, just hold the radiator fore and aft.
The radiator should rest on the two rubber nubbins in the lower cross member.
Maybe over a Looooong time the lower rubbers have worn away and stress put on the top mounts.
It is important NOT to have weight on the top mounts as this causes the rad to separate tanks from core on rough roads.
A radiator place should be able to reattach it for you.
The top mount brackets have a lot of adjustability so that the rad can float.
Hope we are talking a RRC as if not all that may be wrong.
    Regards Philip A

Philip is exactly right. All the weight of the radiator needs to be taken by the grommets on the pins at the bottom. They do collapse over time, just pack them up.

I have EL style thermos / shroud on mine and the (minorish) additional weight of that assembly is partly taken by separate side mounts.

    cheers, DL
