Thread: D1, D2 and RRC interchangeability?

    handy thread, love this forum, just destroyed my rear diff today after a less than average build from a diff mob 18 months ago, so a D2 centre will fit a D1, are the axles the same or do other bits need changing?
    Are the front and rear interchangeable ?

    If by "axles" you mean the whole axle assembly, they are quite different between the D1 and D2. The rear half axles may be interchangeable, but that will be about it, apart from the centres.

    No. The only commonality between axles is the spline count at the diff. Hub end is totally different.

    Which is a pity, as the D1 Has MaxiDrive axles as well, but I think the D2 axles are pretty strong themselves. Is that true?
