    There is a fair bit of info on fixing this little gear in the RRC forum. Thanks go to PA and others for how to do it.

    It's either Meccles or Mercguy who have probably nailed the cause of the split............... zeroing the odometer whilst mobile.

    My speedo was absolutely perfect for the first time ever after fixing the gear, but I was doing the zeroing thing and now the odo has failed to proceed. Speedo still perfect, rock steady, just no odo.

    I'll take pics when I get around to fixing it.

    Years ago, when I lived in Newcastle I had my bouncing RRC speedo fixed by that mob mentioned in post #4. They have an online presence now, NAMISS. Maybe they can help you.
