There might be some legal/insurance issues with that idea. Have you thought of a hand control/throttle similar to the disability setup except without the incorporated brake feature.

Its only s temp setup so not about to get it engineered, hand throttle would be mord dangerous.

When they let you out just use a crutch....press the go pedal to go....press the stop pedal to stop....easy as.

PS: Sorry to hear of your fall mate. Get well soon.
    Cheers

Sounds doable IMO. It might just require a bit of metal fab work with a hinge, and a rod and some small bits of scrap metal.

I thought you may just be looking for things to do while you're off your feet - I could always drop the gearbox off the series 3 around for you to rebuild for me...

I'm sure it would be fine on the kitchen table so it's a good height to work on...
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Wait for the reaction when you use the dishwasher as a parts washer.

Wait until you get out before rushing into anything. I found that there was enough movement in my ankle to use the throttle quite OK when I had a broken right tib and fib and was plastered.

The biggest problem was using the brake suddenly (car was a manual) as it put a lot of load on the foot and leg and gave a bit of pain.

Later when I fractured my Femur (same leg) I again drove without any issues.

I checked with my specialist before driving.

Thats why i want a LH acc. pedal so i can just use my left foot without risk of damage to the right.
