SubscriberWent and got the Rangie dirty yesterday, and managed to lose the lens off one of the 'fog lights' in the front skirt.
Does anyone know if there is a light on the market here that's a direct replacement / fit up for the 'original' ?
Otherwise I may replace them with a Narva yellow set.
Here's the lights I mean:

Surely if these auxilliary lights are intended for use as fog lights, you wouldn't want your normal high beam on as it would reflect straight back at you from the fog. :?

I think you'll find that they are actually auxillary driving lights, hence the fact that you can only use them with the high beam.
Fog lamps can be used without using the cars main headlights. AFAIK

Fog doesn't normally sit on the ground..... usually a small gap from the road to the bottom of the fog blanket. So the lights shine along the road underneath the fog but most fog lights are yellow or blue not white. Quite right, white light just reflects making visibility some to zero when changing from low to high beam. So I'd be guessing someone's fiddled with the wiring or they're not really fog lights. :wink:Originally posted by VladTepes

Mates statesman, when the button on the dash is pushed for the foggies, the headlights go out leaving the parkers and the foggies on even though the main light switch is still on headlights. When the foggies are turned off the headlights come back on. Neat really.. though they too are white and just below the headlights.. so I dunno if they really work.. probably lower wattage bulbs or something than the main lights. :?

Seqfisho is right, they are driving lights, not fog lights.
There is also a button on that panel for fog lights, and I think that illuminates additionl rear tail lights.
(thought I remember reading that somewhere...... who cares, probably won't need it in BrisVegas)
