Just what I want but I need details as to name / model etc ?

    I think they are $2,000 new 8O 8O and $1600 second hand 8O

Don't suppose anyone has one for sale cheaper :?:
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

    Ok

In my electronic parts catalogue, this bullbar is listed as...

RTC9582 Bar assembly front - nudge - wrap around with removable lamp guards. It is identical to the picture. Whatever pricing is attached to this parts database it says $170.00 8O 8O 8O

Don't know what currency that might be in.

However, it's in the "Except Airbags" section.

In the "Air bag vehicles only" section there is no mention of wrap around options. It's also the only section with no illustrations. Bugger.

There has to be a market there as more Classics with airbags are taken off road rather than just towing the horse float to the polo.

But I guess complying with the ADR rules is the issue. Cost of testing and development.

I wonder what the Yanks do?

Opposite Lock at Newstead (local agents for Smartbar) tell me the Disco ones are not kept in stock, as an older bar they are 'order only'.

Makes it bloody hard to check it against the Rangie to see if it would fit, eh ?!

Looks as if they aren't very interested in selling one to me. (surely they could get one on a 'return if not sold' basis).

Really I need someone with one locally (fitted to their Disco perhaps) so I can make a judgement on it.

    Hey Vlad,

Have you asked ECB at Clontarf if they are interested in Modifying a disco bar to suit the rangie, You could use the disco airbag mounts as I would think that they would be the same and have the uprights and bars/loops made to suit the rangie, wouldnt think there would be a great deal of work in it for them to do at the manufacturing stage rather than modifying an existing non rangie bar.

Only issues may be the cost they want to charge, and whether it will be certified as airbag compatible, although I think its only to do with the mounts.

Queensland Bullbars mite be worth a phonecall too, the smaller companies might be a bit more interested in doing semi custom work, especially if you mention that others in the club or on this board may want one aswell.

    Vlad,

Saw this on ebay, if it mounts to the air bag crush cans it could be the go, it looks like AMV in melb are the sellers so they should be able to tell you yes or no.

The plastic bullbar is definately Airbag OK, but they seem to only make them for S1 Discos (sorry Vlad)

They still exist - contacted them and they had this to say:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Thank you for your enquiry but we no longer manufacture anything for the Land Rover Range.
So there.
