i use caltex kopr kote, it is pretty much inert being mainly composed of aluminium actually... i should have been more specific, sorry.

i cant see it having any bearing at all on a vehicle that comes off the factory floor with at least 5 types of metal in it anyway [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif[/img]

Could be right.

Out of my own interest I've gone back to the site and trawled through double checking.... hmmmmm.... :?

Still sounds dubious that it would cause that much loss of performance from one blown gasket (shown in the photograph), all gaskets blown maybe but how likely is that to happen at the same time? :? Treat with caution.

its interesting how the correct method is fit on the manifold,
not "stamped side of gasket to head"

knowing my luck they will ALL blow out tomorrow :roll:

I think it would be so much easier if the gasket manufacturer actually put a small mark on ther front of the gasket then we would all fit them correctly.
When I did my heads, I actually put one around the wrong way, try un bolting them again whilst the engine is in vehicle. It ya have big hands, it really hard to reach the bolts. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif[/img]
