How to wire power supply into dash?
I'm in the process of wiring in some auxiliary accessories in my Defender.
In time I intend to have a UHF and spotlights in addition to the brake controller I am in the process of installing.
I've never done any of this before but I expect I will need a power supply for all 3 items.
Would it be best to wire all 3 individually back to the battery or run a 6B&S cable into the dash and then split it to each accessory. Much the way the Traxide kit runs one cable to the rear and then splits for the Anderson plug and 12 volt plugs.

The spotlights should have a relay taking power from the nearest good supply under the bonnet, this can be either the back of the alternator or starter motor main terminal. The relay should be switched by a dash switch taking its feed from the high beam switch.
A CB doesn't need much power, perhaps also should be wired to the accessories position of the ignition key. The main fuse box would be my main choice.
An electric brake controller should find adequate power near the fuse box too although a fused supply from the battery would suffice. Your cable up from the battery could run a couple of sockets for a hand held spot lamp and perhaps a small 240V inverter if you need one. A 30 amp circuit breaker at the battery end should protect the cable.
