Yeah it does.

But I never had that problem

The air moved through the radiator still, same as it always did.

The air that went through the scoop basicaly went over the back of the moter, kept the fire wall and tanny a touch cooler.

worked well from my point of veiw

my Nissan GQ scoop works well to keep the firewall and the tranny cool.

It also has the advantage that when running slow it is an escape for the heat build up - especially in the V8's

I found that I was getting "air lock" with the Defender so I cut some holes (9 in each side ) in the inner wheel arches with a 52mm hole saw.

Now air flows through quite well.

Engine bay was just too cramped and air had nowhere to go.

Mick, that also allows the rats to escape quicker.

Sadly only a Chev nut will work that one out.

I think the scoops which point the onther way are better. ir comes in through radiator and out of scoop over windscreen.

Oops that would be the tranny as in transmission

The scoop is a nissan GU scoop
