    300tdi vacuum pump

    Do the 300tdi brake vacuum pumps make any kind of noise when worn.




    I have the original one on and there is a weird razzing noise coming from somewhere, you can play a tune with it using different revs, its not the belt have run it without and the noise is still playable.,please don't say gearbox bearings,although its on my mind.

    Mine didnt make any noises, it just leaked oil.

    Mine has leaked for17yrs, thinking I should replace it soon to go through the process to identify this noise.

    Mine made a ticking noise at the engine speed.
    Lost booster pressure as well, came back a few days later and the noise stopped as well.

    The first one made a harsh ticking sound, but it was VERY apparent that there was no vacuum by the feel of the brakes,
