    Dead disco

    Hi guys
I have an issue with the disco I've tried to start it and there is nothing no dash lights no ignition etc etc... History--- I started working yesterday on starter motor, so I disconected battery dismantled starter motor put it back together and reconnected everything, when I went to put battery back together there was a good buss as I connected positive terminal and heard batter boil a little that's when I found out I had no ignition etc.... Ice checked the fuses but the black square ones I don't know what to look for; eg broken fuse.????? Any help would be great..?

Sound like to connected the terminals wrong way around, not familiar with D2 but if you have absolutely no power there must some kind of master fuse.
Checked the engine bay fuses as well as under the steering column ?

Thanks, terminals are def on the correct way, I had a look at the first fuse at fuse box (150amp) but there is a black plastic cover with no way of removal (I think) it seems fine though. I didn't know there was dash fuses I thought they were all in engine bay! On right hand side....

Thank you for the help.. It seems that it is a problem with the starter motor earthing out. It's stuffed my battery I think when I've tightened starter motor connection its has canned the insulation , I think... I'll give a New starter a go!!!!

Yeah battery was stuffed it boiled.. New starter and battery and she's running and starting beautifully!! Unfortunately I had to take to the shop as I didn't have time to take apart and replace again so it cost a bit..
