    300tdi hows this head gasket look???

    Hey there guys just pulled down the Defenders 300tdi, please tell me you can see something wrong with this head gasket....... Loooks ok to me!

    The head is in at the shop for warp, hardness and pressure test.

    The problem is trying to find a second hand head that doesn't have the same issues. A good running motor is going to be sold as a complete unit. If it has had issues then they strip them, most of the issues unfortunately are mostly head problems.

    hes got(or had last time I sw him) one of the heads I had reco'd but only came up to minimum hardness, good for stock not good for an engine thats got an enthusiastic turbo with a "faulty" waste gate actuator and a fuel pump thats had a stern lecture

    Yes, still have it. I picked up a second hand head removed from a working motor, had it tested and was all ok. Couldn't use the one from Dave as I have been informed the car it was going into had been played with
