    Hose clamps

    are these(can these be?) done up to a set tension?
    These clamps were used as the usual type had to be up so tight they split the hose.

    Aren't they single use throw away? Usually there is a plier like tool to tension the throw-away clamps..... So just dont' squeeze as hard

    I've just come from Pirtek and while waiting to be served saw some ripper slightly wider than usual exceptionally strong looking smallish clamps with a sort of u shaped tightener which would be ideal for any tensioning and suit the pic above

    Open the coolant bottle and smell the coolant,dose is smell really bad????
    If so you probably are leaking LPG into the cooling system.It would answer the high pressure issue.
    I had a 202 Ser3 Landy on LPG,I was convinced the head gasket was gone.Replaced it and the symptoms continued,the LPG mixer was leaking LPG into the coolant.

    does that happen?

    this hose thing was a problem with the old gas regulator too,,(new reg fitted this year)

    the whole system should be under the same pressure,, why just that clamp?

    It can get an internal leak in the convertor,the combination of the LPG odourant and the coolant will make for a bad smell.We also had the issue on the RRC we had.
