even that doesnt stop the pads singing.
if you have problems with noisy pads when its all up and running just let me know and i will come and show you how to stop them.
G'day Guys,
So far so good - up to now most sensor wires have been the same colour on the Disco as that used on the RR V8.
I intend to rebuild the loom, once everything is working correctly then cover all wiring in the plastic loom protector.
I wanted to use the later style brake pad retaining pins (ones with springs on the pins) in a hope to keep the brake pads from "singing".
So I drilled out the older style holes on the callipers and will install new pins with the new EBS brake pads.

Cheers DZ,
The EBC pads have a rubber plate for the pistons - so hope this helps.
BTW I have been told in the past to use copper grease on the back of the pad - this sound right?
The old pads from both callipers had like some red gasket sealant on them?
I read your post about taking the leading edge off the pads and putting a slice through the centre of the pads - this worth doing?

only if they are noisy.....
make sure you put the rubber pads on the right way if they are only on one end of the pad.
the red stuff is a product called anti-grince, i think wurth used to make it.
we used to use heaps of it on landys and still cross our fingers.
i may still have a bottle of it sitting around somewhere but it would have dried up hard as a rock by now(the red stuff)
