Smoke visible only at night???
Hi All!!!
Interesting observation I had on my 300tdi. During the day I can't see any smoke coming out at the back, except bit of black if I floor it. But during the night, if there is a car behind me with lights on, It looks like that I'm consuming oil more than diesel. It looks like there is heaps of smoke coming out. Now I was observing this during all sorts of weather, hot cold, humid dry etc. No difference.
I have no oil or water consumption.
Did anyone have similar situation?

Most noticeable at night, probably nothing to be concerned about

I'd be more concerned about it not blowing much smoke during the day. That to me means that you need to tweak the IP and wake that other horse up

Good to know that there is nothing to worry about. Altough it would be good if someone can explain this phenomena!
Oh I can make it smoke, just black tough.
