    I was eyeballing the jump start point on a volvo FH16 prime mover at work today. They use what looks like 120mm2 cable running thru a large Anderson plug (50-60mm wide).
    That appears to be suitable for a modern 600hp diesel.

    175s with the thickest cable they can handle will be fine for boosting and charging but if that things feeling cantankerous you might wind up stretching the friendship if the main batteries are dead flat or damaged while your trying to start
