    Temp guage drops to zero

Morning, we have just replaced the head etc on a 300tdi edc auto disco, it has a new aftermarket radiator etc. The gauge sits just below half way when warmed up which is fine, however if you floor it or rev it quickly the gauge drops down to zero but comes straight back up when you lift off the accelerator. Trying to work out if its either an electronic gremlin or an airlock in the cooling system.

Anyone had this issue or what should I look for. Suggestions on how to clear the airlock if in fact that is the problem.

You may have solved it by now, I had similar on my D2, ended up being a problem with the earthing. Cleaned up the earths in front of the air box, problem went away.
