I'll try the test on Sunday, but, pardon my ignorance in these tongue test matters, I assume I test the line that goes to the diaphragm, the line that goes to the brake pedal switch and the one that goes to the vacuum.

How long does it have to hold? My tongue won't go out of shape??

I can test the Vacuum switch by attaching an independant 12V I would think.

Does the vacuum pump operate on signal from the CC switch and stays on whilst CC is operating?

    Thanks for your help

You will know within seconds. It will either fall off within a second or so or stay on. You only need say 10 seconds.
I think your tongue will survive.

Your best place to test the system is to disconnect the hose from the vac pump, suck on it and see if it'll stick to your tongue for more than a few seconds....

If it holds, then you've either got an electrical or pump problem.

If it doesn't then you just need to replace the vac hose.

OK, can hold vacuum in hose to diaphragm, hose to brake pedal switch but not to vacuum pump.

Does this mean pump is not operating properly? and is it serviceable?
