Getting a grip on sliders / tree bars

    Hi

I am having a set of sliders made from round tubing. With the last set SWMBO was not happy that when they got wet they were pretty slippery!

So my question for the brains trust is; does anyone have any suggestions for putting some grip on the bars?

I have thought about something like putting some kind of grit on the top of the bars but I am not sure the powder coating guys can do that.

Other alternatives suggested are checkerplate or mesh on top of them

    Thanks
    Steve

Mix coarse sand in some durable paint, at least that is what is on stairs...

Steve, one can buy self-adhesive grit tape for exactly that type of application.

    Bunnings have Croc Grip.

Will, we P38A owners are a select little group. We don't associate with owners of lesser Landies!

If you are flush with cash consider painting the slider in that ute tub plastic paint. Grippy and wears well, better than powder coating.

As an aside, square tubing is stronger than round tube. A good knock on square tubing will result in less damage to a comparable knock on round tubing.
