    Wolf 3D EMS

Anyone know anything about them? My 3.5 is running VERY rich. Blowing black smoke, petrol smell, the works. Idles with a slight miss, accelerates "ok", but at steady rpm's it has a massive miss. I changed plugs and leads, topped off tank with premium, added injector cleaner, all to no avail. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!!

By Wolf EMS I assume you have an after market reprogrammable ecu with different sencors.

I have 2 3.5 that have had rich mixture issues. one got better when a replaced the radiator fan clutch hub. the other I put down to worn out cam shaft as compression balance was all over the place.

the 3rd 3.9 I purchased had the top end and cam shasft rebuilt after they had replaced basically all the ignition and fuel system to stop it from flooding.

The issue is that you need the fuel pressure and injector flow to be OK. then fix any manifold leaks confirm that compression is good. Then you adjust the fuel flow with the wolf using a an exhaust gas [O2] sencor.

I helped to set up a racing car with an original Wolf 3D quite a few years ago. Wasn't a bad bit of gear for the day. Dip switch programming was a pain, but they're beyond that now (hopefully)
The thing is, that will only help if the problem is with the ECU.
I would advise starting with the basic stuff. Got even compression, healthy spark, good line pressure, clean injectors, no air leaking on inlet side, I/C hoses OK, clean MAF/MAP sensors.
Short of environment issues ( burning, flooding, etc) the ECUs are generally quite reliable.

Seems the tps is the issue , we are looking at a delco replacement from a commodore but need some adapters to fit it.

Yeah hoping that's all it is. When the tps was "zeroed" out, after the pedal was mashed, it would go out of whack again. Was impossible to calibrate...
